Fimma highlights the prestige of Brazilian machinery and industry abroad

September 28, 2023

Fairs are business and relationship opportunities. Sellmaq's business front is to be inserted in environments that allow taking the name of suppliers to different countries in a short space of time. Annually, the brand takes part in international fairs such as Ligna and Tecnomueble, but is also present in national fairs, such as Formóbile and Fimma Brasil.

Sellmaq’s office is attentive to what is happening worldwide, this makes all the difference when promoting international negotiations. The foreign market has more and more space for high-technology machines, opening up considerable space for the Brazilian machinery production chain. Therefore, being present at world fairs reaches potential customers and strengthens relationships with those that already exist.

Knowing the market closely, studying competitive differences, identifying trends and opportunities for generating business, as well as providing more visibility for brands are just a few points that Sellmaq perceives in these environments.

Sellmaq recently took part in Fimma Brasil, where it had the opportunity to welcome importers in the city of Bento Gonçalves, where Sellmaq's headquarters is located. “Being able to welcome customers, as well as importers from different countries to our home, at a fair with the size of Fimma for the machinery sector, is certainly a source of pride. At this moment, we can show the news from our partners, from the companies that are part of our portfolio, with their new technologies and innovations so that they can improve their manufacturing and production process with new opportunities and products”, says the brand’s director, Marcelo Haefliger.

International trade

In relation to international trade, Brazil still has a long way to go, but Sellmaq, as a Brazilian company that operates as an export sector for renowned brands such as Projepack, Lidear, Lufati and Rexfort, understands that there was a gap to be fulfilled in Latin American and European countries. “We understand that this shortage was indeed a reality and that Brazil had quality machines to supply to these countries. And this perception happened because we are frequently at international fairs, because we know the foreign market, because we see opportunities within these countries. As a result, we took our partners’ machines to occupy this space and it has been working,” says Haefliger.

Currently, according to data from the World Trade Organization (WTO), Brazil occupies the 25th position among the world's main exporters and the 27th position in the ranking of largest importers, with a percentage of 1.3% and 1.2% respectively.
